The ferry Herjólfur will take us to Heimaey or the home island. Westman islands are a group of islands off the south coast of Iceland. Heimaey is the only island that is inhabited all year long.It takes 40 minutes by the ferry , but you have panorama view the whole trip, on a good day. It is magnificent when we enter the harbor and it feels like the seabirds and puffins are welcoming us. But keep in mind Puffins are only in the islands during the summer.
