Following the old Napoleonic route into the rocky hills north of Dubrovnik, you will arrive to the botanical garden of Trsteno and make a stop to the tiny village of Majkovi. Here you can taste some of the best domestic products our region has to offer like homemade cheeses, local olives and delicious dried meat. Continuing along the road you will enjoy a majestic view of the Elaphiti islands as you descend into Ston, home of the oldest working salt factory in Europe, 5km long stone wall and some of the tastiest oysters in the Adriatic. We arrive in Majkovi right on time for an extravagant homemade meal in the traditional Croatian style called “ispod Peke”. Our hosts in Majkovi will begin preparing it for you in the morning; fresh goat cheese, vegetables from the garden and homemade dressing for salad, young goat or lamb selected for this occasion and slow cooked all day under a large iron bell, or ‘Peka’. Seafood menu includes octopus or grilled fish. Ready to go home on your call.
