Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate (AAKG) is a salt of the amino acid arginine and alpha-ketoglutaric acid and plays an important role in nitric oxide (NO) activity and blood flow. Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate (AAKG) is a cell volumiser which leads to greater delivery of nutrients into the muscles. For this reason, it can be a powerful supplement in aiding physiological performance and supporting muscle recovery in a range of sporting activities*. Myprotein’s AAKG is superior to many other forms of arginine as it is comprised of two Arginine molecules attached to one Alph-Ketoglutarate molecule. AAKG can be taken at 3 times throughout the day with a combined dose total of 15-18g, to help maintain elevated arginine levels.
