Approx 2 - 2.5 hour fully guided walking tour in the Fox Glacier Valley (inc breaks). Transport included from Franz Josef and Fox Glacier townships. Afternoon tea provided, as well as wet weather gear, umbrellas and walking poles. The track runs through lush historic glaciated rainforest in Westland Tai Poutini National Park, with focal points of huge rata, rimu trees & moss & views of the top section Fox Glacier (not the terminal face), Fox neve & Mt Tasman (one of NZ’s highest mountains)Information from your experienced guide on glaciation, geothermology (inc geothermal spring to dip your hand in) geology, flora & faunaSuitable level for beginners and all ages and abilitiesPlease note this tour does not get close or to view the terminal face of the glacier due to safety reasons.
