This tour is about getting you way off the beaten track and going where the locals go. Over three hours we visit six very different stops and two markets, one hidden away and one you can’t miss. From Venezuelan Arepa’s to visiting a hidden away distillery to try a gin & tonic, both found underneath the arches of the London Bridge train station, delicious pasta made right in front of your eyes by the incredible chefs at Flour & Grape, artisanal cheese from Neal’s Yard Dairy, oysters from Richard Howard’s Oyster bar (8 generations and still carrying the torch of the Howard name) and depending on the day, Iraqi dumplings from Juma or succulent sausage rolls from Ginger Pig, both found right in the centre of Borough Market. We will view into what London’s old warehouses and docklands used to look like along the River Thames, when London was at the centre of global commerce and walk down the very trendy Bermondsey area and learn about its fascinating past in the Leather, Wool & Hide trade.
