A long fire hose is used to connect the jet ski to the Flyboard, as the instructor who is sitting on the jet ski increases the power, more water gets pushed into the hose and out of the Flyboard, which is what propels the board out of the water. Instructor controls the height; the participants controls all other maneuvers.
