It is one of the greatest touristic interests of the region, located about 80 kilometers north of Agadir and accessible from the national road leading to Marrakech, the traditional apiary of Inzerki is one of the largest ancient beehives in the world; it bears witness to an ingenious historical civilization, a symbol of organizational and social cohesion. Having looked at its spot, you can quickly appreciate the ingenious and aesthetic locational site on which it is built; in a sense, the apiary is conveniently overhanging one of the green valleys near Argana. The local population, living around the apiary, is estimated at a hundred residents and has a community of beekeepers with proven skills and a thousand-year-old heritage of craft. The advantage of having the Apiary close to the nature of the lush flora is that it allows swarms of bees to be close to their natural habitat at an appropriate altitude of nearly a thousand meters.
