One of the most popular shopping destinations with Prada, Gucci, and Fendi all in tow, is Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Named after the kingdom of Italy’s first king, this galleria is one of the oldest shopping malls in the world, standing 4 stories tall, adorned in Gothic style, and a unique iron and glass roof. The Galleria connects two of Milan’s most famous landmarks: the Teatro Alla Scala and The Duomo. This intricate Duomo took over 600 years to complete and is full of detail including a sundial adorned with astrological signs on the marble floor. After one is done marveling at the duomo, and rubbing your heel for good luck in the galleria, make sure you see some of the many masterpieces Milan has to offer including the infamous painting of the Last Supper at Milan’s Santa Maria delle Grazie.
