Beautiful Battambang. This great tour takes in the Colonial architecture of the city of Battambang and is just over 3 hours drive from Angkor Wat. One of the main attractions is the Bamboo Railway which runs along a short section of track just outside Battambang. The train’s wooden platforms carry people, rice and animals. This unique journey takes 30 minutes and the train reaches speeds of 40km/hr. Be prepared to ride like Indianna Jones through the jungle, over rattling bridges and wave to locals hard at work in the sun in the rice paddies.
